A Professor of Practice and the Accounting Program Coordinator, Luigi Corrado, Jr., CPA, MT has been a member of the Gwynedd Mercy University faculty since 2021. He teaches courses in all aspects of accounting, including those in principles, intermediate, and advanced accounting.
Luigi received his B.S. in Business Administration, with majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems, from LaSalle University, as well as his Masters of Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
A Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, he is also a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Luigi served as president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the PICPA, serves on the Chapter’s Colleges and Universities Committee, and he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Prior to teaching at GMercyU, Professor Corrado spent 19 years in the accounting industry where he held positions as a financial statement auditor, corporate controller, and senior consultant with a variety of firms.
He also taught accounting and real estate courses as an adjunct professor at Temple University and Rosemont College. His areas of expertise include a wide range of industries with a focus on real estate, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and private equity.
